Three Things Hearthstone Should Consider Doing

I already spend a decent amount each year on Hearthstone, so you would assume I would be the last person wanting to give them ideas on how to charge me more. On the other hand, there are some fairly obvious things they could do which would make the game more fun if you aren’t interested in chasing up the ladder each month, and if a little more money would make it worth their while…

First off would be something akin to PSN – allow folks to buy a month at a time, or a monthly subscription, to play a group of the Tavern Brawls. It’s a shame that they put so much effort into these, and then after a week – “poof” they’re gone. Why not rotate having 5 of them up each month that you can play as much as you want for that monthly fee? If you’re really worried about adoption, you could even have an “exclusive” brawl that is only offered to the subscribers every couple of months.

Next, and I’m a bit surprised they haven’t done this already, let you purchase a “refill” of quests. I usually get through mine each day, which means I generally only have one quest each day. For a buck I should be able to buy three more quests. Good deal for the user since even in the worst case you are getting 120 gold for your 1 dollar. And you could get more than that. Good deal for Blizzard as it drives deeper engagement (more quests = more time playing), and they’re not exactly out much.

Lastly, and this is the one I think would be the bigger stretch for them, would be to have a new 2-on-AI game mode. Ideally this would let you come with a partner, or be matched with one. This builds on a couple of the tavern brawls they’ve had over the last year or so, but would be a game to keep the interest of folks who are losing interest in the game due to BM and “too much aggro”.

Those are my thoughts anyway. Feel free to add your own in the comments.
